Birthday Party Fun!

Wow!  It seems like it has been a long time since my last post, but with school starting and everything there hasn't been a whole lot of time for blogging!  The birthday party was so much fun!  We had so many kids here and they all had a blast sliding down the big slide.  The slide was dropped off at about 8:30 am and Garrett and Garrison started the party early!  They started sliding at 8:30 and I don't think that Garrison stopped until about 9:30 that night!  I hope you enjoy pictures because there are so many fun pictures I did not want to leave any out!

Happy Birthday Garrett!

Well...I am doing this just a tad early!!!  His Birthday is actually on Monday, but with the party tomorrow and me having to work at school on Sunday I wanted to get this in a little bit early!  I can't believe that he is already 9 years old!  Where did the time go?  It seemed like only yesterday that Tom and I were anxiously awaiting his arrival!  Boy did he make an entrance....there is nothing like wanting/needing to come in the middle of an inservice at school, 3 weeks early! (I had toxemia, so he had to come early!) We could hardly wait to get our hands on him and I remember that Tom cried when the nurse said she had to take him back to the nursery!

He has grown into such a sweet and loving little boy.  Well not really little!  He loves to draw, write, play video games, and fight with his little brother!  He has such a funny sense of humor, and he doesn't even know it!  He has a big, big, heart and truly cares for people and their feelings!  My prayer for my sweet boy...sure that he does well in school, makes friends, and all of those things that every mother wants for her child, but the most important thing I want is for him to grow up to be a good man!  Garrett your Dad and I love you very much!  Happy Birthday!

Crazy Couple of Days!

Boy have I had a crazy couple of days....I got a call from my Principal on Monday telling me that we were probably not going to have enough kids for my class to make, so I would have to be moving to a new school!  Oh, my did the tears start.....I don't just mean the one or two tears falling softly down your face crying, I mean the ugly, snot, black mascara rolling down your face crying....tell me you know what I am talking about!  She basically said "don't start setting your room up".  So, Tuesday she told me that Mossman Elementary is where I would be going.  This is a beauty of a school, don't get me wrong...but change is so hard, leaving a great team, and a familiar family that I will miss seeing so often, I was so very sad, then came the other bombshell, it is a first grade position.  I was like "oh."  I have taught kinder for 12 years, and all in the matter of 2 days I have to change schools and teach a new grade, this was almost more than I could take.  My husband was very supportive through all of this and he did remind me often that I did not "lose" my job.  I thank him now for keeping things in perspective for me and not letting me go crazy!  I also had some amazing people praying for me and Kara gave me a wonderful verse that I think I read a million times and you know what???  God knows what He is doing and He is good!  So say hello to Mossman's 7th Kindergarten teacher!

I love this song from Kenny Chesney!  (I also love Kenny Chesney:))  I really do love football season!  I guess it has been soooo hot, and school is about to start, I was thinking of fall and football!  I can't wait for my boys to start playing football.  Well, I don't think that Garrett likes football all that much, but Garrison definitely loves football!  But you never know, they sometimes surprise you!   

By the way......I found out today that I am way behind the times on the Evolution of Dance You Tube Video.  I went to my Mom and Dad's today!  I told my dad he needed to check out my blog tomorrow at work so he could see this really funny video of this guy dancing....and he looked and me and he said "oh, I've already seen that, that's old!"  Seriously!!!  Where have I been, when my dad has seen something and I haven't.  I mean he dosen't even have a computer at home!!!!

This is kind of long, but Tom and I were watching TV and saw this on something and this you tube video has had something like 148 million hits!  Isn't that crazy!  It really is funny. Hope you are enjoying your weekend!  I am going back to work this week! AAAH!  Happy Saturday!

Coast Guard Day!

Today was Coast Guard Day!  Why did the Coast Guard's Birthday have to be smack dab in the middle of a heat wave I don't know!!!  We really had a lot of fun, but it was sooooo hot!  They had a bouncey slide and house for the kids, they had live music, good food and cake!!!  They also gave each of us a ticket for a door prize and Tom and I both one!!!  Here are some random pictures of Coast Guard Day!  Enjoy!

We really did have a lot of fun even though it was too hot!  They had it at Walter Hall Park in League City.  Channel 2 News was there interviewing people, not for CG, just random people about the heat and Luis and Rosie's daughter Monica might be on the news tonight!  So, I will have to look for her!  They were right by where Tom was playing softball, so who knows he may be there too!
