Pumpkin Patch

How come I ask you.......do I have things envisioned in my head and then when we go to do them......they don't really come out quite like I want them to?????  Like the pumpkin patch!  I wanted my perfectly matching darling little boys to do just what I wanted them to....I don't know, like sit on about a million beautiful orange pumpkins for as long as I wanted them to without out complaining and do exactly what I wanted them to! And in magic land this is how our trip to the pumpkin patch went this afternoon, but in the real world it went a little something like this........""Mom, how long to I have to sit here, this is boring, are you done yet, I want a snowcone, I want a snowcone, I want a snowcone (whining, whining, whining).........."  Here are some pictures of our wonderful outing!

No, your eyes are not playing tricks on you....that is red snowcone all over Garrison's mouth!!!

Happy Fall Ya'll!!!!

Sunday Afternoon in Pictures

Happy Monday!

Karate Kid

Finally I was able to take some pictures of Garrett in his Karate class.  Last time he didn't want us to watch him, so I didn't get any, but this time I went in and snapped me some pictures!!  I am not so sure I really like this class.....I mean they have kids from 4 all the way to 9 years old.  It's really hard for them to get a lot of one on one attention.  Did I mention that there are about 50 kids in the class?  We may look into getting him in to a different place.....I'll keep you posted!  Here are some pictures of my darling...we had to keep reminding him that it was ok to hit the other kid:)

He did get a point here!  This is only their 4th class!

They Call Me a Fireman.....

Fire Station 59 plus a few other guests

Last night Tom had a dinner for his fire station.  He has been on active duty with the Coast Guard for awhile and these guys have been wonderful to him.  So...he put them in for an award.  They came out last night to present it to them!

Here is Tom giving the award to Captain Johnson

Cake Balls

Seriously....Am I the last person to know about this or what????  I mean I am a serious cake lover!  I go to birthday parties, and weddings, and showers, strictly for the CAKE!  I did not know about cake balls.  Since starting at my new school I have had them twice and I love them!!!!  I had one today, I guess that is why they are on my brain!  Tom is having this thing for his fire station on Wednesday....and I ordered some to take to the station....Great Balls of Fire!  I mean really how cute is that??  But I mean along with all this cuteness does come a pretty big price tag, really $24.00 a dozen, but I couldn't resist!  I am going to try to attach a picture of the ones I ordered, along with the place I ordered from....she is in League City!  I will post some pictures of the thing at the fire station so you can see them in real life after Wednesday!  Happy Monday!

Soccer

So Garrison started Soccer yesterday!  I really can't believe that he is already old enough to do it....but he is!  So I just wanted to share a few pictures of his first day at practice!  He really did pretty well.....he had a difficult time "dribbling" the ball.  He just wanted to kick the ball as hard as he could everytime!

Getting ready to kick!

They are called the "Houston Frogs" that is what this team of all boys decided on!

Don't know if I have ever seen him concentrate like that!

I'm sure I will have more to come!  Garrett starts Karate on Friday, so I'll post on that later!!!

Rhode Island

I loved this house!
Our Hotel!
Just me chillin on the inside of the hotel!  Who knows someone important may have sat in that chair??  There were pictures of presidents and movie stars hanging all over the walls.  We stayed at the Biltmore, which is a Historic Hotel!

Just had to share this...if you know my husband, he always spills something on his shirts!  He always either wears white or blue, this time, blue and white!  We laughed so hard he had tomato sauce everywhere!

Someone carved this pumpkin!  Seemed appropriate for the day!

Providence

I so could live here!!  Newport RI.  It looked like this everywhere!

Me and my Hubby!
It was seriously perfect weather about 74 degrees and no humidity!!

Wow!  So Tom and I headed out to Rhode Island for a weekend getaway!!  He has a class at the Coast Guard Academy, which is in Connecticut, next week.  So we thought it would a lot of fun for us to get away!  We had such a great time!  The weather was well let's just say.....PERFECT!!!  We woke up to temps in the 60's with no humidity and I think the temp never got over 75 degrees!  Oh my!  Saturday the weather was beautiful!  We got in the car and drove to beautiful Newport RI!  It was crazy!  What Tom and I really decided was that we really live in probably one of the ugliest places on earth!  It was beautiful everywhere we went!  We did a lot of walking!  The little town was wonderful with shops and restaurants everywhere!  We walked to what they call the Cliff walk, which is this area behind these million dollar homes where you walk and can see the ocean!  Then we walked on the beach!  It was wonderful!  I will have to post more later.....I have to get to bed, but I wanted to get some pictures here, but it was a wonderful together time for us!  We are very thankful that my parents watched the boys for us!  We owe you one....ok about a million!  More on our wonderful trip next time...but here are some pictures!
This was a view from the Cliff Walk!  It was beautiful!

We went to this church where President Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy were married!

Rhode Island

I am sure I have bored you enough with the pictures!!  But the place was so beautiful!  I'll have to post some more later, after you have recovered from all of these!  Have a great week!
